Bertozzi & Casoni. Eterne e fragili presenze
From September 18 to October 25, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum presents the exhibition “Bertozzi & Casoni: Eternal and Fragile Presences,” curated by Alberto Mattia Martini and organized in collaboration with the Giovanni Bonelli Gallery.
The exhibition brings over thirty works by Bertozzi & Casoni to the museum’s galleries, including about ten previously unseen, site-specific pieces. Amid furnishings, paintings, and historical artifacts, the hyperrealistic sculptures by the Faenza-based duo blend with surprising naturalness into the spaces of the house-museum, creating a dialogue that explores the relationship between authenticity and reinvention, permanence and transformation.
In this encounter between eras and artistic languages, ceramics become the medium of choice for reflecting on time and the fragility of existence.
