PUPPETS SET FREE
Arlecchino, Pulcinella and Colombina have made up their minds: they no longer want to spend their lives hanging by a string.
At last, they cut themselves free, escape from the Grand Puppet Theatre and set off on a journey, meeting curious characters and facing unexpected adventures along the way, while the company’s stern director, Don Fernando Malvasia, follows close behind.
Gianni Rodari’s poetic tale is accompanied by orchestral music by Paolo Furlani, in a performance that celebrates the desire for freedom, imagination and the courage to choose one’s own path.
Music and storytelling move forward together, inviting audiences to look at the world with curiosity and imagination — with no puppeteers pulling the strings.
