Teatro Manzoni, a welcoming setting where the magic of theatre comes to life
Founded in 1872 as Teatro della Commedia and renamed the following year in honor of Alessandro Manzoni, Teatro Manzoni has been a cornerstone of Milan's and Italy's cultural life for more than 150 years.
Located in the heart of Milan's prestigious Quadrilatero della moda, just a short walk from Via Montenapoleone and Piazza della Scala, the theatre offers a rich and diverse programme. Its season ranges from contemporary and classical drama presented in the Prosa series to the finest comedy in the Ridere alla Grande series, celebrating humour in its most brilliant and sophisticated forms. The Extra series features an eclectic selection of performances, spanning music, magic, art, and dance. The theatre also offers a dedicated Family series, with productions specially designed for younger audiences.
