Etruscans and Veneti: Deities, Sacred Waters and Small Gifts to the Gods
Fondazione Luigi Rovati presents a series of educational activities designed especially for younger visitors, offering an engaging and stimulating experience in the world of art.
Why did Livy describe the Etruscans as “the most religious of peoples”?
Let’s find out together through artefacts connected with the sacred world: bronze images of deities, terracotta votive offerings, and objects associated with water rituals—water being as vital then as it is today—in dialogue with the traditions of the ancient Veneti.
In the workshop, children will create a set of miniature votive vessels, inspired by the offerings placed in ancient sanctuaries.
