Borgo del Maglio
A remarkable industrial archaeology complex nestled in Ome along the Gandovere stream. It houses the 15th-century Maglio Averoldi, an ancient trip hammer still fully functional thanks to the hydraulic energy of its waterwheel, and the Pietro Malossi Collection, featuring antique weapons and fine art. Visiting this site offers an up-close look at the hard work and craftsmanship of Brescia’s metallurgical tradition, revealing the deep link between the forging of iron agricultural tools and the evolution of local winemaking.

La Santissima Sanctuary
A former Neo-Gothic monastery perched atop Barbisone Hill in Gussago. Dominating the landscape, it offers a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view over the entire Franciacorta amphitheater and its underlying vineyards. Reached via a scenic yet challenging climb, your effort is rewarded with one of the region’s most iconic and photogenic vistas, a perfect stop to admire the harmony between historical architecture and the surrounding countryside.

Olivetan Benedictine Abbey
A serene monastery located in Rodengo Saiano, founded in the 10th century and later expanded by the Olivetan monks. The complex stands out for its extraordinary artistic and historical significance, boasting three cloisters built across different eras and precious Renaissance frescoes by masters such as Romanino and Lattanzio Gambara. Strolling through these sacred spaces offers a moment of profound spiritual peace while honoring the vital role monks played in reclaiming and cultivating the region's land.

Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve
(For experienced cyclists / Day 2 Option)
A protected wetland of extraordinary natural value located between Provaglio d'Iseo and Corte Franca. Originating from ancient peat extraction, this wetland of international importance features wooden boardwalks suspended just above the water, winding through reed beds home to diverse bird species. Given the total distance and elevation gain of the previous stages, this final leg is recommended for well-trained cyclists or as an ideal Day 2 extension to enjoy the experience at a more relaxed pace.
