La lampada di Aladino
From fascinating and magical China to fiery and wild Africa, the Carlo Colla & Figli Puppetry Company returns to the Piccolo to tell – through fourteen scenes populated by more than two hundred characters animated by string – the most famous tale from the pages of the One Thousand and One Nights.
Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp is one of the most famous and fascinating tales from the One Thousand and One Nights, containing some of the most important symbols and meanings. The story centres on the life of Aladdin, which unfolds in the mysterious depths of the earth, a place tied to the word of alchemy and the search for knowledge. An interweaving of love, adventure and magic binds a fairytale and exotic China with a wild and shining Africa. Through song, acting, mime and dance, accompanied by a score that perfectly matches the action on stage, the Compagnia Marionettistica Carlo Colla & Figli brings to life a play in which the ancient art of puppets is explored in all its complexity and seductive power.
