A new edition, dedicated to women, for the show that, for thirteen seasons, has aimed to close the gap between adults and youth, between teachers and parents, to tell stories, to ask and encourage questions, involving an audience of all ages.
A new edition dedicated to women for the play that for thirteen seasons has examined the many forms of organised crime. “Over the years we have spent researching Mafia organisations”, explain Emanuela Giordano and Giulia Minoli, “we have always been struck by the courage shown by some women. Courage that is not always born of civil conscience and ethical consistency, but at time of desperation. In Mafia clans, when husbands, fathers and brothers end up in prison or are killed, the wives and sisters take on the task of safeguarding the «culture» and the interests of the family, but not all of them fall into line, paying an extremely high price. We met with the people who have spoken out, who have served as eyewitnesses, who have assumed new identities, who have led investigations, never giving up, calling for justice and working together”.
