On the day of her 92nd birthday, an evening dedicated to the great Ornella, marking the start of a three-year celebratory project: A portrait of an unconventional woman, Ornella Vanoni. The artist is Pacifico, one of the most respected authors and singer-songwriters in Italy, who wrote songs for her and who brought together his recollections in the biography Vincente o perdente (published by La Nave di Teseo).
Diario sentimentale di una donna libera is a tribute in word and song of an intelligent, impetuous and anarchic woman who also knew how to be ironic and light-hearted. Pacifico presents the most emotional and fun side of Ornella, the one that invites us into her home, where she can be found with her memories: fond ones to summon and bitter ones from which to flee. Where she presents herself as gluttonous, mischievous and forgetful, but only as a ruse, to keep the sadness at bay. This evening forms part of three years of celebrations dedicated to her, and which will continue until 2028.
