The story of a rather magical little boy and his family of humans and animals serves as an anthem to kindness and the courage to begin again.
A new project from the artistic partnership between the Caserta-born Enrico Ianniello and the Catalan Pau Mirò, a new and positive encounter between contemporary theatre in Neapolitan and Catalan language. Directed by Mirò, Ianniello stages an adaptation loosely based on his novel, winner in 2015 of the Campiello Opera Prima award. Forty-six years on from the Irpinia earthquake comes the story of Isidoro, a happy child with an extraordinary gift: the scream-whistle, a voice capable of expressing a universal language. Together with his poet father, pasta-making mother and a myna bird, Isidoro tries to teach the world kindness, before time and the tragedy of 23 November 1980 force him into silence, from which he emerges by discovering Naples and love.
